There's been talk of another spectacular comet putting on a show in our sky after Tsuchinshan-ATLAS. Unfortunately, however, it doesn't look like the newcomer will deliver.
A rare comet brightens the night skies in October
NEW YORK (AP) — Prepare to spot a rare, bright comet. The space rock is slinging toward Earth from the outer reaches of the solar system and will make its closest pass on Saturday. It should be visible through the end of October, clear skies permitting.
How to See the Bright Comet Tsuchinshan-Atlas This Weekend
To get the best view of the comet, go outside about an hour after sunset and look west. The comet should be visible from the northern and southern hemispheres. While you can see the comet with the naked eye, binoculars and telescopes will give you a better view of it.
