It's safe to say Connor McDavid's ankle is feeling fine. McDavid had one of the worst months of his career in October, with just 3 goals and 10 points in 10 games before leaving a game against Columbus with an ankle injury on October 28th.

McDavid became the 999th player to reach the 1,000-point plateau in NHL history. Only legends Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux and Mike Bossy have reached the mark faster. The Oilers star has lived up to the billing that was advertised for him when he first came into the league as the first overall pick in the 2015 draft.

The Rangers came into the game flat and there is no other way to put it. In the first period, Edmonton bombarded New York with 21 shots as the Bluehsirts were completely outplayed. The speed of Connor McDavid and the Oilers was just too much for the Rangers to handle.
