A Fayetteville mother is mourning her adult son, who died Saturday after a fight and shooting at a hookah lounge. Around 2 a.m. on Saturday, Fayetteville police responded to the Anubis Hookah Lounge at 5391 Ramsey St.

A hookah lounge shooting early Saturday morning left one man dead and another injured, according to the Fayetteville Police Department. According to a news release, officers just before 2 a.m. responded to reports of a shooting at Anubis Hookah Lounge on Ramsey Street.

One man was found in the parking lot with a gunshot wound, the release stated. After officers attempted CPR and other life saving measures, the victim was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

At 10:53 p.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a shooting in the 700 block of Edgehill Road. When officers arrived, they found two men who had been shot.

For the second time in the city on Saturday, one person was killed and another wounded in a shooting. The latest homicide happened about 11 p.m. behind Anna Chestnutt Middle School in the 700 block of Edgehill Road, the Fayetteville Police Department said.
