John Cena’s Peacemaker character from upcoming movie “The Suicide Squad” is getting his own HBO Max series. James Gunn will write all eight episodes of the show’s first season.

James Gunn created the American superhero TV show Peacemaker for HBO Max. It is a spin-off of The Suicide Squad (2021) and centers on John Cena’s character Chris Smith, also referred to as Peacemaker.
