As first responders continue to rescue people stranded by the torrential flooding that descended on central Texas Friday, dozens of people are facing a parent’s worst nightmare: Their children are missing.

Texas parents frantically posted photos of their young daughters on social media with pleas for information as at least 23 campers from an all-girls summer camp were unaccounted for after floods tore through the state’s south-central region overnight.

At least 27 campers are still believed to be missing from Camp Mystic, an all-girls camp, officials said Friday night.
