The Kansas City Chiefs narrowly defeated the Carolina Panthers in Week 12, due in no small part to the efforts of Patrick Mahomes, who threw three touchdown passes in the defending Super Bowl champions' tenth win of the season.

With 1:55 left in the game, Panthers quarterback Bryce Young completed a touchdown pass to Chuba Hubbard to put Carolina within two of the Chiefs. Carolina then was able to get the two-point conversion to tie the game.

They have outscored the Raiders 28-3 since falling behind 14-0 and now lead 28-17 with 13:40 remaining. It might be a big enough lead for Kansas City to coast to its eighth victory. Patrick Mahomes threw his second touchdown of the day,

The Kansas City Chiefs’ first defeat of the season was also a financial loss for Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes, 29, was fined $14,069 by the National Football League on Saturday, November 23, for making a “violent gesture” during the Chiefs 30-21 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday,
