Mosquitoes collected in a popular Louisville neighborhood have tested positive for West Nile virus. LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville neighborhood will be fogged for mosquitoes this week after mosquitos infected with West Nile Virus were found.

Mosquito fogging, a preventative measure to decrease infection and the bug's population, will take place later this week after West Nile was detected in bugs in a surveillance trap.

Mosquitoes infected with West Nile Virus have been detected in two areas of Louisville. The mosquitoes were found in a surveillance trap in the Tyler Park neighborhood and areas of the Highlands. Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness says there have been no confirmed cases of West Nile reported in Jefferson County,
