Fresh off a 23-13 win over Miami (Ohio) in the MAC championship game, the Broncos have reportedly signed coach Lance Taylor to a new five-year contract per ESPN's Pete Thamel on Monday, Dec. 8. According to Thamel, Taylor's new pay bump will put him "near the top of the MAC in salary."

Lance Taylor led the Broncos to a 9-4 season, with a bowl game to come, in his third year as head coach at Western Michigan.

Western Michigan connected on nearly 60 percent of its shots Saturday as the Broncos downed SIUE men's basketball 83-73 at First Community Arena.

WMU will send two buses of fans to Ford Field from Miller Auditorium Saturday at 8:30 a.m. The Western Michigan Bronco football team is looking for its first MAC championship since 2016. The Broncos will take on a Miami (OH) Redhawks team they lost to back on Oct. 26, their only conference loss.
