A Hawaii island police are conducting an islandwide search for two men after an officer was shot today at a bank near the Prince Kuhio Plaza shopping center in Hilo, and then later airlifted to Oahu and transported to The Queen’s Medical Center where the officer was in serious but stable condition from a head injury.

Hawaii Island police are warning the community to be on the lookout for the suspect involved in an officer-involved shooting at Prince Kuhio Plaza.

Christopher Lucrisia, 39, is suspected of shooting a police officer two times at a bank near the Prince Kuhio Plaza. He fled the scene as a passenger in a white Chevy pickup truck, with the license plate ZLD014, headed in the direction of the airport. The driver of the truck was also a man.

According to Hawaii Police Chief Benjamin Moszkowicz, the wounded officer, who is assigned to the East Hawaii Vice Section, is in serious condition at Hilo Benioff Medical Center.
