Lamar said he's had the music scene jumping since 2009 and now it's finally time to see all his hard work culminate on one of the world's biggest stages.

A Super Bowl promo that aired a few days ago seemed to suggest Kendrick Lamar will perform his recent No. 1 hit “Not Like Us” during the halftime show. That sounds obvious on the surface, but the relevant additional context here is that the song is currently at the center of some defamation accusations.

Drake’s second diss track used artificial intelligence technology to include verses from Tupac and Snoop Dogg, two of Lamar’s influences. In his own verse, Drake accuses Lamar of delaying his response track because of the imminent release of Taylor Swift ‘s “The Tortured Poets Department.” (Lamar collaborated with Swift on “Bad Blood.”)
