One person is dead and authorities are looking for two others in connection to a deputy-involved shooting south of Payson.

One person is dead and two people are at large after a possible theft led to a shooting involving Gila County sheriff's deputies early Friday morning.

The sheriff's office said two people allegedly involved in the incident fled from the scene and are still at large.
