Russia launched more aerial attacks on Ukraine in June than in any other month of the war so far, causing a record number of civilian casualties.

Russia fired a record 728 Shahed and decoy drones at Ukraine overnight, as well as 13 cruise and ballistic missiles, the Ukrainian air force said, in the latest escalation after weeks of mounting Russian aerial and ground attacks in the more than three-year war.

A Ukrainian drone strike targeted a warehouse in Russia that stored fighter jets, bombs and other military assets, Ukraine's General Staff has said. The Borisoglebsk airfield in Russia's Voronezh Oblast was struck overnight, and imagery shared on social media showed the fiery aftermath of the attacks.
