Willy Adames held his helmet above his head as he stood near home plate and acknowledged the ovation he was given by Milwaukee Brewers fans at American Family Field. He then gave Brewers catcher and former teammate William Contreras a hug and nodded in the direction of starting pitcher Jose Quintana.
William Contreras hit a solo home run off All-Star reliever Randy Rodríguez in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Milwaukee Brewers a 5-4 victory over the San Francisco Giants on Friday night.
Ahead of Saturday’s game, Turang was unexpectedly scratched after originally being placed in the starting lineup. Manager Pat Murphy explained that Turang was penciled in automatically, but after a batting cage session, the team determined he wasn’t ready to go.

I’m scheduling this before Friday night’s game between the San Francisco Giants and the Milwaukee Brewers, which I can only imagine went poorly, based on recent results (and not-so-recent results) for each team.
