The governance structure of the joint venture will see CIL and RRVUNL nominating executives to the board, with CIL having the right to appoint four directors and RRVUNL appointing two.

State-owned Coal India has entered into a joint venture (JV) agreement with Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd (RRVUNL) to undertake renewable energy business in Rajasthan.

While Coal India will have a 74 per cent shareholding in the joint venture, RRVUNL will have remaining 26 per cent.

Seen as a significant move towards sustainability, Coal India has announced the establishment of a joint venture aimed at enhancing renewable energy resources in Rajasthan. The newly formed joint venture will leverage Rajasthan's abundant solar and wind resources.
