Actress Shalini Pandey has officially joined the cast of Dhanush’s upcoming directorial venture, Idli Kadai. The talented actreaa has already begun shooting for the film in Hyderabad, marking her return to Tamil cinema after a notable hiatus.

Dhanush recently announced his fourth directorial and 52nd film as an actor, Idli Kadai. Ashok Selvan denied being a part of it.

Raayan, directed by Dhanush, is a massive blockbuster at the box office with over Rs. 150 crores gross. The actor’s third directorial NEEK (Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam) featuring young actors will be out in theatres later this year. Meanwhile, Dhanush has already started working on his fourth directorial, Idly Kadai.

It is being produced by Aakash Baskaran of Dawn Pictures in collaboration with Dhanush's banner Wunderbar Films. In addition to Idli Kadai, Pandey is also set to appear in Excel Entertainment's Dabba Cartel and Bandwaale.

While there was no official announcement, there were rumours that Ashok Selvan, Arun Vijay and Nithya Menen were part of Dhanush's upcoming film Idli Kadai.

Dhanush, a prominent figure in South Indian cinema, has started filming his fourth directorial project 'Idly Kadai' in Tamil Nadu's Theni district. Despite speculation, Ashok Selvan confirmed he is not part of the film.
