Detroit All-Star second baseman Gleyber Torres left Saturday's game against Cleveland in the middle of the first inning after he took an elbow to the neck while sliding into second base.

CLEVELAND – Tigers All-Star second baseman Gleyber Torres left Saturday’s game against the Guardians after an ugly collision on the basepaths with shortstop Brayan Rocchio.

With two outs in the inning, Tigers left fielder Riley Greene bounced a grounder to Guardians second baseman Angel Martinez. Martinez flipped the ball to shortstop Brayan Rocchio—only for Rocchio to fall on Torres elbow-first as he went to the ground.
