The NBA Board of Governors approved Mark Walter's purchase of a majority stake in the Lakers at a valuation of $10 billion, the highest ever for a pro sports team.

The NBA board of governors unanimously approved Mark Walter's bid to buy majority ownership of the Lakers, expanding Walter's influence on L.A. pro sports.

However, former No. 1 overall pick Kwame Brown — widely considered one of the biggest disappointments in NBA history — had a harsh message for James, calling him “soft.”

Mavericks 107, Pacers 105: Aaron Nesmith missed a game-winning 3-point attempt in the final second after he rebounded RayJ Dennis’ intentionally missed free throw, and the Mavericks (2-3) survived.
