Police in Riviera Beach have issued an Amber Alert for two children believed to be taken by their biological mother, traveling in a damaged black Toyota sedan.

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A major crash on I-95 South in Riviera Beach is blocking lanes on Tuesday morning. Florida 511 reported the crash just before Exit 76, Blue Heron Boulevard, at 8:42 a.m. In the latest update at 8:45 a.m., officials said that the three left lanes have been blocked.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) said 11-year-old Akachi Turner and 3-year-old Aizon Turner were last seen in the 1200th block of West 6th Street in Riviera Beach.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced Monday that he is ordering the flags of the United States and the State of Florida to be flown at half-staff at the state Capitol in Tallahassee and at public buildings in Palm Beach County for Joseph "Joe" Casello. Flags will be lowered from sunrise to sunset on Wednesday.
