The New York Jets’ search for a new head coach early in the 2025 NFL offseason is well underway. Former head coach Robert Saleh was fired by the team all the back in October. At the time, New York had a 2-3 record. After turning things over to interim Jeff Ulbrich, it didn’t go much better. The Jets finished 2024 at 5-12.

The New York Jets interviewed Rex Ryan for their head coaching position, but have reportedly already passed on the former head coach.

The Jaguars have requested an interview with Saleh for their head coach vacancy, the team announced Tuesday. Saleh is one of eight candidates on the team’s initial list, which includes hot names in Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and Detroit defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn.
