Another San Francisco immigration judge was fired by the Trump administration Friday, NBC Bay Area’s Investigative Unit has confirmed, marking the third Bay Area immigration judge to be let go since July.

A U.S. judge stopped Donald Trumps plan to cut money from sanctuary cities. These cities, like Los Angeles and Chicago, do not fully follow federal immigration rules. Judge William Orrick said the policy was not legal.

A judge ruled late Friday the Trump administration cannot deny funding to Boston, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles and 30 other cities and counties because of policies that limit cooperation with federal immigration efforts.
