A California teen who made hundreds of calls threatening attacks on religious institutions, high schools, historically Black colleges and government offices nationwide pleaded guilty Wednesday to last year’s mass shooting threat at a Sanford mosque.

MIAMI - A Lancaster, California teen accused of making hundreds of false bomb threats, mass shooting threats and "swatting" calls across the country has pleaded guilty in Florida to four counts of making interstate threats to injure another person.

An 18-year-old from Lancaster has pleaded guilty to making hundreds of calls falsely threatening to conduct shootings or detonate bombs at public facilities.

A Lancaster teenager pleaded guilty Wednesday to making hundreds of “swatting” calls targeting religious institutions, schools and government officials with false threats of mass shootings, bombings and other violent crimes.
