The explosive fire in Roseland, Louisiana, remains active as of Saturday night. No injuries or deaths have been reported.

An explosion and fire at Smitty’s Supply in Roseland left residents under evacuation, cars coated in oil, and questions about what’s burning still unanswered.

Roseland resident Jerry McCoy evacuated to a nearby hotel, but briefly returned home to grab essentials. “I kind of snuck back up in there, and when I got there I was checking my mail,” McCoy said. “I looked on the ground and it was all oily. My neighbor’s yard has a big puddle of oil in his yard.”
