President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s plan to end Ukraine’s nearly three-year war with Russia is getting mixed reactions from Western allies.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s victory plan includes bringing Ukraine into NATO and replacing U.S. troops with battle-hardened Ukrainian ones at outposts throughout Europe.

The plan is considered by many as Ukraine’s last resort to strengthen its hand in any future cease-fire negotiations with Russia.

Zelenskyy announced the plan back in August as pressure from allies started to mount for a more concrete outline on ending the war. He’s reiterated that a ceasefire isn’t on the table for negotiations, despite Ukraine’s army being faced with lack of ammunition as Russian troops continue advancing in the east.
