On your computer, go to Google Chat. You can also go to your Gmail account. Select a conversation or space. At the top, click the space name or conversation participants. Click Apps & integration Add apps. Enter the app name, then select one or more apps Click Add. Remove apps from a conversation or space. On your computer, go to go to Google Chat.

For a simple way to use Google Chat, install the Google Chat standalone app in your Chrome Browser. This provides a streamlined Chat experience and is a Progressive Web Application (PWA) that you can open from your desktop. Important: There’s no Google Chat Chrome extension. For a similar experience, install the app.

These Chat apps are available for personal, work, and school accounts. If you use Chat with a work or school account, your administrator may need to give you permission to install or use Chat apps.

Click Google Workspace Marketplace allowlist>Add app to allowlist. In the search box, enter the name of the app that you want to add (for example, Google Drive app in Google Chat). Important: For the app to appear in search results, enter the full name. Next to the app, click Add to allowlist.
