For May we are considering splitting our time in Kauai with either Maui or Lanai. We have not been to either island, Lanai appeals to be because it seems far less developed and slammed with tourists. We would splurge on the Four Seasons there which looks absolutely exquisite.

Apr 26, 2014 · Can't speak of Lanai first hand but my opinion is that if you've been to Big island, go to Maui. Kihei has beautiful beaches throughout, Hana has amazing camping and hiking opportunities, Ulupalakua wine, so much.

Sep 7, 2022 · Lanai is an awesome trip, but the snorkeling is from shore, and it can be a bit rough getting past the waves. It's more of a full day sailing/beach trip with some optional snorkeling. Molokoni is the only Trilogy tour we haven't done, so I can't speak to it specifically.
