ACTIVE SHOOTER TRAINING The Tulsa Police Department is currently going through our 40 hours of Mandatory In Service Training with all sworn Officers. This year a big part of this training is 16 hours of LASER (Law Enforcement Active Shooter Emergency Response) training as mandated by Gov. Stitt after the incidents in Uvalde, Texas and here in Tulsa last year. Every Officer on the Department, including our own Chief Wendell Franklin, receives and participates in this training.
