The massacre targeted ethnic Amhara residents of the town of Mai-Kadra in the Welkait-Tegede-Setit Humera Zone of Amhara Region, Ethiopia. AAA has verified the names of 1,515 victims that were killed by the TPLF allied militia groups called Samri and Hawzen.
