On May 10, 2003, Tiësto performed at the GelreDome for 25,000 people, playing an 8-hour solo set, the first time a DJ ever filled a stadium alone. The event, Tiësto in Concert, was filmed and released on DVD, reaching millions worldwide. A year later, that performance led to him being invited to play at the opening ceremony of the 2004 Summer Olympics, making him the first DJ to do so.
