The largest ancient dam ever discovered in Israel has been found in the City of David! Around 2,800 years ago, during a severe climate crisis, the kings of Judah came up with a creative solution: building a massive dam in ancient Jerusalem. The dam, recently uncovered in excavations by the Israel Antiquities Authority in the City of David, was constructed to collect floodwaters and tackle water shortages.
