Vestas has completed the installation of two V162-6.2 MW wind turbines at the Barão São João wind park, located in Lagos, Portugal. The #EnVentus units have become the largest and most powerful onshore wind turbines in the Iberian Peninsula. Their 80-metre-long blades will supply the Portuguese grid with over 34 GWh of clean energy per year. Vestas has installed the first V150-4.2 MW™ turbine at the Østerild testing site in Denmark 🇩🇰. It boasts the largest rotor in the 4 MW family, and towers reaching new heights for onshore wind. The V150-4.2 MW™ produced its first KW of energy on 14th January 2019, and is expected to offer a 21 percent increase in annual energy production, compared to the V136-3.45 MW® turbine.
