India's indigenous ELISA antibody testing kits will be used in to check the spread of COVID-19 ijn the country. IgG ELISA testing kits, called ‘COVID KAVACH ELISA’, has been developed and approved by ICMR-National Institute of Virology at Pune. ICMR said that the Antibody tests for Coronavirus cases are necessary and effective for large scale surveillance.
